Chiaroscuro technique






Chiaroscuro is a technique of selective illumination and deep shadow, which Caravaggio, Rembrandt and many more artists used during the Baroque era. These images are studies into the colours and proportions of colours within certain paintings as well as using applying the technique to wallpaper patterns.
