I would like to see this step by step as a work in progress to be able to see the progression to the finished artefact. Are you going to use embellishment as well as stitching to enhance texture and definition ? JG
That's a good idea, I will take photos of the process! I don't have long to do it, but I may try some applique/embellishment. It is only half of the painting to focus on the headscarf detail -mainly because I can't draw faces!. I will have a go at this tomorrow.
Jacqueline - I have some silk now to try to incorporate in the pearl!
I am a Textile Design student at the University of Leeds and I plan to use this blog to share my interests and inspirations as well as some of my own work.
This term I specialized in Knit in order to learn some new skills, which has been interesting although I think I will begin to focus more on printing for fashion next term as I did during my school career. My Digital Design module has taught me to use software such as Kaledo Print so in future projects I can produce professional print designs.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE COMMENTS-be honest, any feedback is appreciated! Thank you,
Harriet
Reflected light will need definition. Are you going to use silk to capture reflections from pearl?
